What Would Justice Do?

Three Weeks Ago

Driving back from Coachella at 3AM on Sunday night to beat the traffic after a hundred too many hours in the sun and a few hundred too many vodka drinks, I had a religious epiphany. It's hard to be sure of these things, even Paul the Apostle's testament is thought by some to have been inspired by heat related exhaustion.

I had a vision of a glowing cross upon a hillside. Or maybe I saw a cross with lights on it on a hillside. It's hard to be sure of these things. It was not the first time I'd seen such a thing. But what was remarkable about it was not that I had seen the thing, but the thoughts that it conjured within me. I felt not glorious Christian ecstasy, but an intense sense of anticipation for the new Justice album. I wondered even, maybe, could this be the second coming (of Daft Punk)?

Paul heard the sound of Jesus Christ's voice telling him not to persecute Christians anymore. I heard the sound of roaring sawtooth synthesizers telling me never to stand still again. Just as Paul felt in the presence of Christ at all times, I also knew that I would never be alone again. Paul was blind and didn't eat for 3 days, I could see well enough through my sweat soaked bangs and ate a little, but I saw Justice 3 days in a row.

But I also heard a voice, and it was the voice of Red Foxxworth. The voice told me not to post any of the new Justice songs. It said that posting the new Justice songs, would not do anything to strengthen the faith of the converted, and that hype had reached a reasonable enough level to ensure that the rest of the world would be shown the way soon after the album's release date.

I promised I would post this a very long time ago, and it's a shame I didn't do it earlier because y'all could have been rocking out to it in a very serious way that much sooner. If you were lucky enough to have come across it somewhere else, then Justice bless you.

Paris - Is This Thing Loaded???? mix.

I don't have a tracklisting for it but you'll definitely recognize some of the tracks, but it's also packed full of hits from eras bygone but fondly recalled and future classics and it's mixed so tightly you will half expect a jack-in-the-box to jump out of your speakers. I am not kidding.

Paris are about to embark on their first European tour. They are 2 dudes. Micprobes (Ruff Club, Six Six Sick) and David Abitol, aka Japanster.

ParisSpace where you can find out if you're fortunate enough to have these dudes coming to your town, as well as listen to their own music.

In other news, we were asked to remix Shit Disco and we happily did so. Unfortunately they didn't wind up choosing it to go on their release, but we're still quite happy with the results, so fortunately for you, here it is in fully play-outable-if-you-like-it-that-way 320 kbps mp3-ness (rhymes with penis, haha...):

Shit Disco - OK (Acid Girls Remix)

We have a lot of other stuff going on at the moment, so why not pop by our myspace to find out about it. We're going to be in Boston and New York next week and all over Europe next month, so hopefully we can dance and drink with some of you somewhere. There's a few things missing there that are almost confirmed, but if you there's something you'd like to do or maybe you just want to hang out or something why not write us on the aforelinked myspace.

Forever

And now that we've got you all riled up banger-wise, here's something for your headache. It's a wonderful and lovely piece of music by a delightful outfit called How to Cure Dyslexia and they're perfect.

How to Cure Dyslexia - Afternoon

I have no idea where I found this, but thanks if you posted it somewhere, and sorry if you are How to Cure Dyslexia and you're not happy about us posting this, we usually ask permission. Do let us know.

p.s. The new Harry Potter book comes out on July 21st, the same day as the Daft Punk show in Los Angeles... am I the only person dorky enough to consider bringing it to the show? Best day ever.
